Pepper & Cheese Bison Burgers

1. Break up ground bison into a large bowl. Sprinkle bell peppers, onions, cheese and salt and pepper over the top. Mix gently until combined.

2. Divide into 6 – 8 portions and form into patties. Patties should be 1/2″ to 3/4″ thick.

3. Grill burgers over medium-low heat for 5 minutes. Flip only when burgers freely move on the grill when touched, grill 3 more minutes. The cheese will ooze slightly to form a tasty, crunchy edge while the center of the burgers will be juicy and a little pink.

2 lbs. ground bison
1 red bell pepper, finely diced
1 green bell pepper, finely diced
1/2 red onion, finely diced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt & pepper to taste
