Stuffed Bison Burgers

Directions:
Divide the meat into 8 sections and make patties out of each. Set aside 4 patties. On the other 4 patties place a slice of tomato and onion and cheese if wanted. Place a second patty on top of the first patty and seal the sides by pressing together. Cover with BBQ sauce on place on a broiler pan or roasting rack. Broil for 5-7 minutes, flip over and broil an additional 5-7 minutes until desired degree of doneness. Be careful when flipping over as the patties can separate. An alternate method of cooking is to bake at 375 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until desired degree of doneness.

1lb ground buffalo, 4 slices tomato, 4 slices onion, favorite BBQ sauce seasoning, cheese optional
